The Notes: Week of November 25 - November 29, 2024

Hello, Neighbors!  It's nice of you stop in on a Saturday instead of the usual Sundays.  Since there's a home Packer game Sunday and the week's meeting schedule is looking a bit thin, I decided to give you a short blog post a day early.

Let's begin with the big one: Happy Thanksgiving (on Thursday, of course) to you and yours!

And the next best thing about this week is that this city is again hosting one of the biggest and best evening Christmas Parades in the country -- The 53rd Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade!  The previous link shows the official event information on Facebook.  And here is the city's website for the parade for even more information.  It's Tuesday, 11/26/2024 at 7pm and it is always a great time to watch in person or in the warmth of your own home on WFRV-TV (Channel 5) or stream on their website.

And I'll be honest here... this is the calendar of meetings for City of Appleton government this week:

Note the last column.  That's right... all meetings that would usually be scheduled for this week are cancelled.  So, you're now all caught up on this coming week's city business!

I hope you'll attend or watch Tuesday's parade to show your support for this wonderful offering by the city and for the local businesses and bands marching that evening.  And I sincerely wish you a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

I'll see you back here next Sunday when I suspect things will get "back to business" as we enter December 2024.
